                                • Artificial pearl beads (faux pearl beads) made in Japan with a core material of very light plastic "polypropylene". They are center-drilled round beads in a sugar pearl style with a pale, elegant luster. They are about half the weight of resin pearls, light as air, and resistant to water and perspiration (washable and dry-cleanable), so they can be used for accessories that come into direct contact with the skin (such as necklaces) or sewn onto clothing. If the holes are clogged or buried by the paint, remove the excess paint by pushing it into the holes with a stab, needle or bead reamer, taking care not to damage your hands.
